There doesn't appear to be a logical reason on the face of it, but wondered if anyone had come across this? Are the storage servers in a different OU than the rest of your domain computers? Is the same gpo getting applied to them? Also, have you restarted them recently. Computer policy settings only get applied on bootup, such as wsus settings i think. Normally this points to an issue with the Windows Update settings for the group policy being applied to the container the Windows servers are in.

KB was not installed, I have installed it and will schedule a reboot this evening before checking back. It's strange that it says it successfully uploaded 6 events, this is not reflected in the WSUS mmc. Rebooted the server last night, but no change unfortunately. Some PC's are contacting but not reporting.

There seems to be no obvious reason for this. I have some brand new computers that are affected, but other brand new computers that are not.

I'm still having this problem. All superseded updates have been declined and cleanup wizard has been ran. The clients are getting updates successfully from WSUS as they were, but in WSUS console they show "This computer has not reported status yet" or "This computer has not reported status in xx days.
However, the WSUS console still indicates that the client s have not reported status.
